The Golden State Warriors managed to do the unthinkable once again when they signed center DeMarcus Cousins. Needless to say, the addition took the entire NBA world by storm.

Cousins' decision to join the Warriors came with its fair share of mixed reviews. It appears even Washington Wizards point guard and former college teammate John Wall could not believe it actually happened:

Wall's reaction was similar to most when they heard about the news. Although it had been reported as a possibility, hardly anyone genuinely expected the Warriors to add yet another elite player to their roster until it actually happened.

There had been some rumors about the Wizards potentially looking to reunite Wall and Cousins in the nation's capital.  The two proved to be a formidable duo during their college days at Kentucky. However, Wall was rather nonchalant about feeling the need to recruit the star big man. Needless to say, this was the opposite approach that players on the Warriors took when they came into contact with him. Perhaps Wall may be reconsidering after seeing his initial reaction to the news.

As a result, he will now be looking to make it work with new center Dwight Howard. It goes without saying that the Wizards have been stuck in a bit of a rut over the past few years. Although Howard will not be the answer to all their problems, they can focus potentially claiming a top spot in the Eastern Conference now that all big dogs have moved out West.
