The 5-star Weapon Supply Chest is a free reward players will receive in Wuthering Waves. It allows the player to get one of five weapons once they reach a certain level. In this guide, we will discuss each of the free 5-star weapons, and which one you should get in Wuthering Waves.
How to get the 5-Star Weapon Supply Chest
For starters, let's talk about how players can get the 5-star Weapon Supply Chest. Upon starting the game for the first time, players will start the Awakening Journey event, which provides rewards at certain Union Level thresholds.
To get the 5-star Weapon Supply Chest, players must reach Union Level 45 in Wuthering Waves. Players who have been playing since day 1 should be approaching said level already, or already be at said Union Level (if they regularly replenished their Waveplate).
Reaching Union Level 45 will give players said supply chest, as well as 1000 Astrites.
5-Star Weapon Choices
Upon opening the box, players will be presented with the following options (all weapon stat values are at L90 S1):
- Main Stat: ATK: 587
- Sub Stat: ATK 36.4%
- Increases Energy Regen by 12.8%. When Resonance Skill is released, Resonance Liberation DMG is increased by 7%, stacking up to 3 times. This effect lasts for 12s.
The Lustrous Razor is a strong Broadblade, potentially increasing the equipped character's Resonance Liberation DMG by up to 21% at S1. This is especially true for characters with a quick Resonance Skill cooldown.
This Broadblade is a good weapon for Jiyan and Calcharo.
- Main Stat: ATK: 587
- Sub Stat: CRIT Rate 24.3%
- Increases Energy Regen by 12.8%. When Resonance Skill is released, increases ATK by 6%, stacking up to 2 time(s). This effect lasts for 10s.
The Emerald of Genesis provides its equipped character with up to 12% additional ATK, especially if they can spam their Resonance Skill to get max stacks. Additionally, it provides up to 24.3% CRIT Rate, allowing players to use CRIT DMG Echoes.
This Sword is good for Sanhua, Danjin, the Rover (both Spectro and Havoc), and Yangyang.
- Main Stat: ATK: 587
- Sub Stat: CRIT Rate 24.3%
- Increases Energy Regen by 12.8%. When Outro Skill is released, increases the switched-in Resonator's ATK by 10%, stacking up to 1 time(s). This effect lasts for 14s.
The Static Mist is more of a support/sub-DPS option, as it strengthens the ATK of the Resonator the equipped character switches to. It also gives the equipped character CRIT Rate, allowing them to use CRIT DMG on their Echo.
This Pistol is great for Aalto, Mortefi, and Chixia.
- Main Stat: ATK: 587
- Sub Stat: ATK 36.4%
- Increases Energy Regen by 12.8%. When hitting a target with Resonance Skill, increases Basic Attack DMG Bonus by 10%, lasting for 8. When hitting a target with Basic Attacks, increases Resonance Skill DMG Bonus by 10%, lasting for 8s.
The Abyss Surges is a Gauntlet that fits characters who constantly switch between using their Basic Attack and their Resonance Skill. Alternating between the two is the key to maximizing this gauntlet.
This Gauntlet is great for Jianxin and Lingyang.
- Main Stat: ATK: 500
- Sub Stat: ATK 43%
- Increases Energy Regen by 12.8%. When hitting a target with Basic Attacks, increases Basic Attack DMG Bonus by 3.2%, stacking up to 5 time(s). This effect lasts for 8s and can be triggered 1 time(s) every 0.5s.
The Cosmic Ripples is a good Rectifier for players who primarily use their Basic Attack, providing up to a 16% Basic Attack DMG Bonus. The ATK bonus is also good for characters that scale off of it.
This Rectifier is good for Encore, Yinlin, and Verina.
Which 5-Star Weapon Should You Get?
Just basing it from the stats, the best option would be to get either the Emerald of Genesis (Sword) or the Static Mist (Pistols). This is because of the value that the CRIT Rate substat provides. By giving the equipped character up to 24.3% CRIT Rate, it basically serves as a max level 4-Cost CRIT Rate Echo.
This allows the player to equip other 4-Cost Echoes on the Resonator, mainly a CRIT DMG one, although an ATK% Echo would also work (but is not recommended).
However, if the player does not plan on using a Sword or a Pistol Character, then selecting the other weapons is also possible. Players can even choose to just use this free weapon to Sytonize a 5-star weapon they already own. This is, however, not as recommended, especially if you plan to build multiple characters.
In short, getting the Sword or the Pistol will provide the most value in terms of stats, and as such is the recommended way to use the free 5-star Weapon Supply Chest in Wuthering Waves.
