Already having a formidable lineup led by Marc Gasol and Mike Conley, the Memphis Grizzlies are maybe just a few key pieces away from being serious contenders in the tough Western Conference, and having a legitimate shot at dethroning the Golden State Warriors.

However, they have some difficult decisions to make this summer, especially with the free agency of Zach Randolph and Vince Carter, who are both huge parts of their rotation. The good news for them is Z-Bo recently made it known that he prefers to stay with the Grizzlies and even believes that they can form a “super team” there, together with Vinsanity, who he thinks can still play three to four more seasons.

Earlier in the offseason, Randolph and Carter were both linked to the Warriors as possible targets for them to add to their fold, and further improve their roster. They are also both expected to generate a decent amount of interest from teams around the league starting on July 1st, as their experience and knowledge of the game is very high. That said, the Grizzlies will definitely have competition in trying to re-sign them.

The 35-year-old Michigan State product has spent the last eight years with the Grizzlies This past season, the 16th of his career, he was still able to put up impressive numbers of 14.1 points, 8.2 rebounds and 1.7 assists in only 24.5 minutes per game, the lowest he’s had since his sophomore year in the league.

It remains to be seen if the Grizzlies will be able to lure some big name free agents this summer, as Memphis has not been the most popular destination in past years. One thing they have to make sure first though, is secure Randolph and Carter's services again, then proceed to their plan of building a “super team” if they indeed have one.
