Fantasy football is in full swing as Week 3 is right around the corner. The wide receiver position is stacked with talent right now, which makes it the easiest to find replacements off the waiver wire. It's time to continue our fantasy series with a fantasy football Week 3 start 'em sit 'em evaluation.

There are great matchups across the board, but three stand out as obvious choices. Having superstars on your fantasy football team is essential for success. However, if you can find a solid matchup to exploit, you can tilt the odds in your favor. Look for the three receivers on this list to potentially produce elite numbers for fantasy football in Week 3.

On the other side of the spectrum are players you should avoid playing altogether. Whether these players are buried on the depth chart or facing a difficult matchup, it's best to avoid them for the time being. Fantasy Football Week 3 Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em

Start ‘Em

Julio Jones – Tennessee Titans

Julio Jones came alive in Week 2 as the Tennessee Titans faced off against the Seattle Seahawks. He had a fantastic outing and it should have been better if the referees didn't rob Jones of his touchdown catch. Either way, Julio looks like Julio and he should be targeted frequently against a struggling Indianapolis Colts defense.

AJ Brown should get his fair share of looks as well. However, Ryan Tannehill and Julio Jones seemed to have improved their chemistry after a disastrous Week 1. After an impressive win against the Seahawks, the Titans aim to carry the momentum over to their next game. Start Julio Jones with confidence as he should reel in his first touchdown as a Titan on Sunday.

Calvin RidleyAtlanta Falcons

The Atlanta Falcons have looked awful so far, but Calvin Ridley bounced back in Week 2. He's had 18 targets in two games, which means Ridley has the volume to be a consistent WR1 all season long. The New York Giants have been torched through the air in the first two weeks, which bodes well for Ridley's chances.

If you have Calvin Ridley you were likely starting him regardless of the matchup. He looked great against a weak Tampa Bay Buccaneers secondary and will do the same against the Giants on Sunday. Ridley is set up to potentially finish as the top-scoring wide receiver in fantasy football in Week 3.

Justin Jefferson – Minnesota Vikings

It's no secret that Justin Jefferson is one of the best young wide receivers in the game right now. Even though he plays for the Minnesota Vikings who utilize a run-first offense, Jefferson still puts up elite numbers in fantasy football. Although he's been targeted 19 times, Jefferson hasn't looked the best so far this year.

Even so, there should be no worry about Justin Jefferson at all. He's going up against a Seattle Seahawks defense who were exploited in Week 2. Look for the Vikings to set up the run, then hit Jefferson often throughout the game. Similar to Calvin Ridley, Jefferson has the potential to be the top-scoring receiver in Week 3. This makes him a must-start in fantasy football.

Sit ‘Em

Robby AndersonCarolina Panthers

He's the second wide receiver on the depth chart, but Robby Anderson plays as the third pass option in the Carolina Panthers' offense. The ball goes to Christian McCaffrey first, then and DJ Moore second. Anderson has found himself third on the pecking order. Additionally, he could fall further down the depth chart if Terrace Marshall develops.

Carolina has a decent matchup as they're going up against a depleted Houston Texans team. Although that's true, Robby Anderson is a bit too volatile to trust in fantasy football right now. If you have better options on your team, run with them, as Anderson is more of a boom or bust receiver on Thursday.

Corey DavisNew York Jets

He had a huge game in Week 1 but fell off the face of the earth in Week 2. The New York Jets were routed by the New England Patriots, making life difficult for Corey Davis throughout the entire game. It's not going to get any easier on Sunday, as the Jets play a tough Denver Broncos defense.

Zach Wilson was thrown for a loop against the Patriots, so we can only imagine what it'll be like against the Broncos. Denver arguably has the best secondary in the league, which doesn't bode well for Corey Davis. Avoid him at all costs and look elsewhere for your FLEX spot.

Jalen ReagorPhiladelphia Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles have looked surprisingly good so far. They're not the best team in the league by any means, but Jalen Hurts has been spreading the ball around effortlessly. Jalen Reagor has been one of the main beneficiaries. However, the Eagles are going up against the Dallas Cowboys, which spells danger for Reagor.

Trevon Diggs balled out in Week 1, putting the clamps on Mike Evans. The Los Angeles Chargers threw the ball all over the Cowboys, but Diggs still looked solid throughout the game. This just isn't a favorable matchup for Jalen Reagor or any of the Eagles' receivers. Look elsewhere when setting your fantasy football lineups, as Reagor is a boom or bust option right now.
