With the MLB lockout finally over, the Philadelphia Phillies are looking to make some big moves in free agency. They already added Brad Hand on Monday, and that doesn't look like it's going to be their last move.

The Phillies have been rumored to a few names throughout the year, and they could potentially land a couple of key guys who can help the squad get back to being a World Series contender.

Phillies Moves To Become World Series Contenders

3. Kyle Schwarber – Outfielder

Adding Schwarber is probably something that is more likely for the Phillies to do. While he might not be the big-name that fans are hoping for, he is still an above-average player and somebody who can help the team a bunch.

Schwarber has been one of those guys who has been able to be a solid contributor for the past eight years. He has had an interesting career that saw him mostly with the Chicago Cubs, then the Washington Nationals, and the Boston Red Sox a season ago. In his 41 games with the Red Sox, he hit nearly .300. With the Nationals, he hit an impressive 25 home runs in only 72 games.

Not only can he be a guy who can leave the yard at any moment, but he is also somebody who has played a few different positions throughout his career. He has had played the outfield and the catcher positions, but with the National League implementing a designated hitter, it could be the perfect time for the Phillies to be all over him. They won't have to worry about his below-average defense in the outfield for most of the season because they will be able to slide him into that designated hitter spot.

2. Kris Bryant – Third baseman

Bryant has been one of the best players in baseball. Just like Schwarber, he spent most of his career with the Cubs, finding plenty of success with the club. He brought the Cubs their first World Series title in 100 years and became an instant fan favorite in the Windy City. He did so by having an elite bat and also playing high-level defense at the hot corner.

Bryant could be a really nice addition to the Phillies. They struggle with hitting at times and Bryant is somebody who is always going to come in and find ways to get on base and even leave the yard a good amount. He has hit over 20 home runs in six seasons and has been an All-Star four times.

He and Phillies star Bryce Harper are great friends from their days of playing travel ball in Las Vegas, so being able to get Bryant might not be as difficult as it seems. The Phillies have been rumored to acquire him and if Bryant would agree to a deal, he would play with one of his best friends growing up and also get to play in an awesome city with incredible fans.

It would be similar to what he got to experience with the Cubs and that might be exactly what he wants for the rest of his career.

1. Nick Castellanos – Right fielder

There have been a few whispers that the Phillies are interested in the big slugger. Castellanos is known for being one of the best power hitters in baseball the past few seasons and he'd be a great addition to the Phillies. Last season, he belted 34 home runs and hit over .300. He has hit nearly 20 home runs or more in most of the seasons throughout his career, as he would be that big power right bat that the Phillies desperately need.

Similar to Schwarber, there are some questions about Castellanos' defensive abilities. He is another guy who has played a few different positions throughout his career as he has played third base and right field, but he does so at a below-average level.

Once again, this could be the perfect situation for the Phillies because Castellanos is going to be somebody who can slide into that designated hitter spot that has now been implemented in the National League. There's really not a better guy in baseball for this option considering he is going to be somebody who is going to hit nearly .300 every season and belt at least 20 home runs.
