The Portland Trail Blazers organization doesn't look like it's going in the right direction and they might think about a possible rebuild. Whether that be trading a guy like Damian Lillard, or CJ McCollum, it's unknown what the Blazers want to do. Clearly, the two of them are not going to win an NBA title as they have not found much success in the playoffs in most years with the duo. There is also a chance that guys like Jusuf Nurkic and Robert Covington could be on different teams after the trade deadline.

Covington is somebody who can be viewed as like a PJ Tucker, which many teams saw last season can bring big value come playoff time. Many teams around the league could use somebody who can defend the 1-5 position at a high level and that's exactly what Covington brings. He's also an above-average three-point shooter who will help a team stretch the floor.

Due to everything that Robert Covington can bring, teams are going to be highly interested in him. Let's take a look at four teams that could use Covington to help them win an NBA title.

Four Teams That Should Be Interested In Robert Covington

4. Atlanta Hawks

The Atlanta Hawks are having an interesting season. They haven't found anywhere near the amount of success that they found last season under head coach Nate McMillan. When McMillan took over for the Hawks, they were one of the best teams in the NBA. They even found so much success that they ended up making an Eastern Conference Final when nobody expected them to. In terms of their standards, the Hawks are having a disappointing season. They are 13-12 on the season and are currently in 10th place of the Eastern Conference.

They have a young team who could struggle at times due to their inexperience. Robert Covington has been in this league for a very long time and he could be somebody who could come in and give that team the veteran presence that they desperately need. Putting him next to guys like John Collins and Clint Capela would be dangerous for other teams in the Eastern Conference because all three of them can defend at a high level.

3. Milwaukee Bucks

The Milwaukee Bucks made an interesting decision during free agency last season to not bring back PJ Tucker. Whether that was because they felt that Semi Ojeleye could be the guy that Tucker was for a much cheaper price or something else that happened in the organization that no one knows about. It is unclear why they gave up Tucker considering it seems like he was one of the team's favorite players and he was most certainly one of the fans' favorite players. Ojeleye hasn't been horrible for the Bucks this season but he also hasn't played much and there was some concern about how he was playing when he was on the court. He was much cheaper than Tucker was but he isn't exactly the same caliber of player that PJ is.

Milwaukee is going to need guys who can defend at a high level just like the rest of their team. If they can go out and get Robert Covington, they're essentially getting another Tucker and even possibly a better player. Covington could essentially do everything that Tucker could do but maybe at a higher level. It would make sense for the Bucks to want to find a Tucker replacement. If the asking price isn't too much, Milwaukee should look to make a deal. This seems like a match made in heaven and it would be shocking that the Bucks don't at least make a phone call to see what Covington would cost.

2. Brooklyn Nets

There isn't much to say about Robert Covington to the Nets. They are obviously willing to do anything they can to bring an NBA title back to Brooklyn. For a team that doesn't have a great defense, Covington would be the perfect guy to throw into the mix and help the team's below-average defense.

Not only would Covington be a good option for them defensively, but he still would bring everything that the Nets like to do on the offensive side of the ball as he can still stretch the floor and hit the open three-point shot. This would make a lot of sense for the Nets to go out and get him because they do not defend at a high level and come playoff time, they're going to need to get stops.

1. Chicago Bulls

The Bulls are a team that has taken over the league with force after their somewhat surprising early-season success. They are still a few pieces away from maybe competing for that Eastern Conference title but if they want to get there, they need to add somebody who can play the three-four position and defend at a high level. Robert Covington would be the perfect guy, but the Bulls do like some of their younger guys, so it might be tough to come up with a trade package.
