San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch spoke about the speculation that the team was said to be interested in both Antonio Brown and Odell Beckham Jr. The speculation turned out to be somewhat true. Lynch said the team was interested in Beckham, but not Brown. However, the asking price from the New York Giants was too high for the team to make a deal.

John Lynch has made some fantastic moves since taking over the GM job in San Francisco, but some of the moves the team has made on draft day in recent years have been questionable. Lynch made it clear the picks the 49ers have this season are too valuable to the team, so the players they have in mind for the picks are selections meant to change the team's culture next season.

Regarding the need of a pass catcher to change the offense, Lynch thinks the team is fine and suggests others might disagree.

“We took a quick look and then we just said, ‘Hey, we’re not interested in that for our team,'” Lynch said. “That’s where we are. I think we feel pretty good about our receiving corps. I know a lot of people don’t share our sentiments.”

While the team missed on acquiring OBJ, the 49ers still have Marqise Goodwin and tight end George Kittle, who both have tremendous upside and talent. San Francisco presumably will get quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo back next season. Jimmy G will lead the way for his offense and aim to get the team back on track. This is why John Lynch thinks his offense is fine. We will have to wait and see.
