A few days ago, Activision launched the NecroKing bundle for Call of Duty Black Ops – Cold War and Warzone. Several players instantly fell in love with the Ice Drake cosmetic for the Krig 6 rifle but now the honeymoon phase has faded all too soon. Warzone players naturally gravitated towards the Ice King seeing as how the Krig 6 stands as one of the best guns in the game. The entire bundle set players back 2400 COD points or around USD 20. Unfortunately, Activision removed the snazzy new frozen reptile gun skin due to several reports of severe game-breaking bugs. You can't flex your nifty new skin if your game keeps crashing.

LETTING THE ICE DRAKE REST

It's a crushing blow for the players that chose to spend money for this in-game cosmetic item. However, several players reported cases of the COD store becoming completely unusable ever since the NecroKing bundle dropped. The gun itself also seems to have broken graphical components as several players reported the disappearance of the distinct blue glow in some games.

Activision acted swiftly after the numerous reports came in. Players out USD 20 may feel slighted by the cosmetic's removal from the game but it's all in the interest of maintaining the game's stability. Unfortunately for Activision, the Ice King problem stands as the company's second mistake in this week alone.

The R1 Crossbow for both Call of Duty Warzone and Black Ops Cold War launched a week earlier than anticipated. Activision had to quickly remove the weapon almost immediately since its accidental release.

Call of Duty Warzone caters to millions of players across various platforms. The developer is obligated to preserve the gaming experience for all its players and not just the ones that have a lot of money to drop on cosmetics. Hopefully, Activision fixes the issue soon so the Ice Drake makes it back to Warzone.
