When the men formerly known as Daniel Bryan and The Big Show made an appearance on RAW, at least via video package, to wish John Cena well on 20 years with WWE, it felt like only a matter of time before Chris Jericho, “La Champion” of AEW, found his way back onto the Titantron to show respect to one of his greatest opponents of all time as well.

Fortunately, some McMahon, be it Vince or Stephanie, made that happen, and in the final video package hyping up his in-ring return, the Jericho Appreciation Society's namesake leader called into the show via a pre-taped package to wish his old friend well.

Ah, that's nice.

Now, for those who don't know, this isn't the first time Jericho has been back in WWE at least in a small way, as he appeared on “Stone Cold” Steve Austin's Broken Skull Sessions, which is both an audio podcast and a show televised on Peacock. Furthermore, when asked about MJF's future, Jericho suggested that his much younger former Le Dinner Debonair partner would probably be wise to stick around in Tony Khan's company but would also understand if he left, as pursuing greatness sometimes means following your own path and that could ultimately end up in WWE.

So while fans probably won't see Jericho back in a WWE ring anytime soon, it's at least nice to see one of the top dogs in AEW understands his legacy and is willing to give credit to those who helped him get where he is today, be that John Cena or the WWE Universe.
