Alabama football head coach Nick Saban has seen it all and done it all in college football. He's also earned a reputation for his reluctance to show much emotion beyond anger on the sidelines. Jalen Milroe attested to the fact that Saban isn't merely putting on an act for the TV cameras, and really isn't moved by much these days.

Speaking about Saban, Milroe explained how his coach reacts to victory. “We'll have a good win, I'm talking about we're excited after the game, we're happy. We get to the locker room, he's just like ready to leave,” Milroe admitted about Saban, per Action Network's Brett McMurphy.

“I'm like, ‘Man, we just won. You know what it took to win?' He's a unique guy. But that's what makes Coach Saban.”

Old news for Saban, Alabama football

To be fair to Saban, it's tough to get excited for anything other than the big ones as the head coach of Alabama football.

In his 17 seasons in Tuscaloosa , Saban has amassed a record of 201-28, including a 117-18 conference record. He has won nine SEC championships with Bama, and six National Championships.

Now, the true test for Milroe and Alabama football begins. On January 1, they'll take on Michigan in the Rose Bowl, with a College Football Playoff National Championship berth on the line.

In his 12 games started this season, Milroe has led the Crimson Tide to a record of 11-1 while throwing for 2,718 yards and 23 touchdowns.

But it's not the regular season that makes Saban special. Playoff time is where Alabama football stands apart, even if Saban doesn't crack a smile along the way.
