Despite being a shadow of his old posterizing self, Amar’e Stoudemire could have still provided quality minutes to any team in the NBA.

In a tweet by ESPN’s Ian Begley, Happy Walters, Stoudemire’s agent, revealed that his client still had offers from a number of teams.

The 6’10” power forward logged measly numbers for the Miami Heat last season, but according to Basketball-Reference.com, his “per 36 minutes” averages then were 14.2 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 1.9 blocks.

In today’s standards, those numbers are already very solid for big men. Although he could not have lasted 36 minutes of top-form basketball, playing around 25 per game could have resulted in respectable averages too.

However, his spiritual journey has led him to a different path now.

Amar’e Stoudemire has left the NBA without a championship ring to boot. But his new mission in life, through basketball, could yield an even more rewarding result for Israel’s newest adopted son.
