Despite having a tough night offensively, New Orleans Pelicans forward Anthony Davis was still a monster at the rim, swatting away Memphis Grizzlies center Marc Gasol‘s attempt at a point-blank layup.

The 6-foot-11 Kentucky product had an impeccable sense of timing, getting up for the block without fouling, leaving Gasol empty at the rim.

Anthony Davis is averaging 2.6 blocks per game through the first five games of the season. His sheer length and athleticism is a problem for most bigs in the league as no one is safe from an emphatic reaction from him.
