Arcadegeddon is a PlayStation 5 and PC multiplayer shooter from Illfonic, the developer of Predator: Hunting Grounds.

“Rise up and play with up to three friends in this ever-evolving cooperative multiplayer shooter,” reads the official blurb. In the game, you'll be able to explore multiple biomes, play awesome mini-games, find hidden chests, and defeat numerous enemies and bosses.

Arcadegeddon is a cooperative shooting experience where players must work together to save an arcade. In the new trailer, IllFonic showed the players using various weapons in a colorful world to take on hoards of enemies. Like other cooperative shooters, the game is about building up your character and unlocking cosmetic upgrades.

The game breaks up the action with mid-run player-vs.-player challenges. This enables you and your friends to fight for bonus loot. Arcadegeddon also has some very trippy visuals which will entice players of all ages to play the game. It's fun, action-packed, and overall seems like an out-of-this-world experience.

Arcadegeddon will be Illfonic's first published game. Working on games like Friday the 13th and Predator: Hunting Grounds gave the devs a lot more experience. And while Friday the 13th was a sudden success, it had a number of connection issues following its release. Illfonic is seemingly using early access on PlayStation 5 and PC to get rid of those issues before launching the game next year.

The game is currently available for early access now for PlayStation 5 and PC via the Epic Games Store. Illfonic will be releasing the full version of the game in 2022.
