When Kevin Durant decided to leave Oklahoma City and sign with the Golden State Warriors last summer, it quickly became very clear that Russell Westbrook was going to be a one-man wrecking crew and do everything in his power to led the Thunder. However to actually envision that Westbrook would average a triple-double seems a bit far fetched. But believe it or not, Clippers guard Austin Rivers actually called it back on July 4, 2016, the very day Durant signed with the Warriors.

It is pretty wild that Rivers was able to accurately predict that Westbrook would “go Oscar” this season. But his prediction turned out to be a hundred percent right.

This season, Westbrook is averaging 31.8 points, 10.7 rebounds and 10.4 assists. Tying Oscar Robertson's record, Westbrook has recorded 41 triple-doubles this season and could very likely surpass the historic mark in one of the remaining Thunder's four games.

Westbrook's play this season has been truly remarkable, just like Rivers' preseason prediction.
