The Golden State Warriors once again fell to the mighty hands of the Cleveland Cavaliers, blowing a 14-point 4th quarter lead 109-108. Various memes and reactions to the Warriors blowing a 3-1 lead in the NBA Finals last year still scour the internet today, and this holiday special loss will not help mitigate these jokes anytime soon.

Knowing how heartbreaking this loss may be for star point guard Stephen Curry, his wife Ayesha Curry took to Twitter to remind him he has a support system back home.

Steph Curry was only able to put up 15 points, 3 assists, and 3 rebounds in his efforts against the Cavs on Christmas, numbers considered measly to what he typically produces. Even he admits in his postgame interview that he could have contributed more, especially considering he only put up eleven shots the entire night.

Ultimately, Steph will have to refocus his efforts moving forward this season. The Warriors may boast the NBA’s best regular season record so far of 27-5, but overcoming the other Western conference powerhouses as well as who ever makes it out of the Eastern conference will not be an easy task. As we can see, this hyped super team is not indestructible, and losses like the one today may expose potential weaknesses in the Warriors scheme.
