After a controversial ending that found her Baylor Lady Bears on the wrong side of a no call, head coach Kim Mulkey dropped some pretty interesting takes. Mulkey decided in her post game press conference to speak up on how she thinks things should be handled going forward as it related to Covid-19 testing.

Talking to reporters after Baylor's narrow loss to Connecticut and posted on ESPN.com afterwards, Mulkey had this to say as the final four approaches for both the men's and women's tournaments.

“After the games today and tomorrow, there's four teams left, I think, on the men's side and the women's side. They need to dump the COVID testing. Wouldn't it be a shame to keep COVID testing and then you got kids that test positive or something and they don't get to play in the Final Four? So you just need to forget the COVID tests and get the four teams playing in each Final Four and go battle it out.” – Kim Mulkey following Baylor's game against Connecticut on Monday

Normally you'd expect if someone would say this, it would be because their team is still alive in the tournament and they don't want any issues to pop up. For Mulkey, that's not the case with Baylor. Pretty bold statements to make by suggesting protocols and logic just get tossed to the side because there are four teams left.

This pandemic is over a year old, and yet her mask fidgeting makes it look like it's the first time the Baylor coach has worn one.

For Baylor, they won't have to worry about following the NCAA protocols anymore after barely losing to Connecticut. Here's how it ended for the Bears, you be the judge:
