There have been plenty of calls for the Chicago Bears to replace veteran starter Andy Dalton with rookie phenom Justin Fields at quarterback. Dalton had a pedestrian game in a 34-14 loss to the Los Angeles Rams, and Fields has been impressive in practice.

While Fields is expected to play more against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 2, Dalton is already at work shutting up the haters. Dalton marched the Bears 75 yards down the field on the opening drive against his former team, finishing things off with an 11-yard touchdown strike to Allen Robinson:

Dalton went 6-for-7 for 39 yards on the drive. The Bears were also helped by a long pass interference penalty on a dime from Dalton.

Chicago's offense was much more aggressive on this opening drive compared to what happened last week against Los Angeles. On the very first play, Dalton looked to uncork a deep ball but had to throw the ball away. Even though the play wasn't successful, it set the tone for the entire drive. The veteran quarterback was consistently looking down the field after not doing so a week before.

If Dalton is going to keep playing over Fields, he has to be aggressive instead of just dinking and dunking all over the place. This was a good start for the veteran.
