The Chicago Bears have spent the last few months righting the wrongs from last offseason. However, one key acquisition from last year was the team's decision to move up in the draft to take quarterback Mitchell Trubisky with the second overall pick.

Trubisky largely underwhelmed in his rookie campaign. Fortunately, he feels like he has gotten much more coached up this offseason than last, according to ESPN's Jeff Dickerson:

“I feel like these last three days, I’ve been coached more than I ever have because I have Coach Helfrich, Coach Ragone — who was here last year with me — Coach Nagy and then I come off when it’s not my reps and I talk to Tyler and I talk to Chase,” Trubisky said. “Just having a bunch of brilliant offensive minds around me, I’m just getting a lot of information. I’m trying to be a sponge, and it’s been a lot of fun working with those guys and learning as much as I can these last three days.”

Trubisky finished his rookie campaign throwing for 2,193 yards, seven touchdowns, and seven interceptions. He also flashed a bit of mobility with 248 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. Fortunately, he has much more help around him this time around to help with his progression.

Chicago brought in former Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Matt Nagy to develop Trubisky into a franchise quarterback. Furthermore,  it is clear that veteran quarterbacks Chase Daniel and Tyler Bray have contributed to the process as well. That said, the addition of a bona fide No. 1 wide receiver in Allen Robinson will also provide a safety net for Trubisky moving forward.
