Priority number one for the Chicago Bears entering the regular season is figuring out the Andy Dalton – Justin Fields dilemma at quarterback.

Priority number two might just be finding the right trade for third-string quarterback Nick Foles.

According to Peter King and his “Football Morning in America” column, the Bears are open to trading Foles but they seem to want to find a destination that Foles wants as well.

“The Bears will listen on Nick Foles, but I’ve also long gotten the sense they aren’t going to send him somewhere he doesn’t want to go.”

If it's true, the Bears front office should get a tip of the cap.

It's not as though Foles is franchise player who's been with the Bears for awhile now. This is just his second season with Chicago and the first was pretty disastrous. The front office trying to accommodate him on his potential way out the door is a pretty classy move.

Meanwhile, head coach Matt Nagy has remained adamant that Dalton will be the starting quarterback for Week 1. The Bears travel to Los Angeles to take on Aaron Donald and the Rams and Chicago fans are already clamoring for the rookie out of Ohio State to be under center.

It doesn't sound like that will be the case but it will be fascinating to see how long, or short, the leash is on Dalton this season before the Bears turn the keys to the car over to Fields.

The quarterback scenarios are endless in Chicago and maybe they'll find a spot that Foles wants to go to where the team wants him as well.
