The Chicago Bears picked up their third straight win on Sunday, defeating the Minnesota Vikings by a score of 16-6 to improve to 3-1 on the season.

But afterward, Bears linebacker Khalil Mack was in no mood to celebrate, and he dropped what may have been the best quote of the 2019 NFL campaign thus far when describing how he felt about Chicago's strong start.

“A dog that poop fast don't poop for long, man,” said Mack, via Bears writer David Prince.

Well, that's, um, an interesting way of putting it.

Mack is essentially trying to say that strong starts don't always equal strong finishes (I think), so the Bears are going to have to maintain their level of play throughout the season and can't get too high on their solid first month.

If that's what Mack means, he is certainly right.

But it also helps that Chicago won 12 games and captured the NFC North division title a year ago, so the Bears have already proven themselves as a good team.

It should be noted that Mitchell Trubisky exited the Bears' win over the Vikings with a shoulder injury, but afterward, head coach Matt Nagy said the injury is not believed to be serious, so it's looking like the third-year quarterback will be back under center soon.

As for Mack, the pass-rusher extraordinaire has already totaled 12 tackles, 4.5 sacks and four forced fumbles and seems to be well on his way to making a fifth straight Pro Bowl appearance.

The Bears will now head on the road to battle the Oakland Raiders next Sunday.
