Chicago Blackhawks star Connor Bedard has had quite the week. His “Michigan” goal against the St. Louis Blues on Saturday earned massive praise from Hockey Hall of Famer Wayne Gretzky. On Wednesday, he followed that up with a huge overtime goal to give his team a much-needed win over the Winnipeg Jets.
Bedard's goal came around halfway through the overtime period. He skated through the heart of Winnipeg's defense before ripping a shot past star goaltender Connor Hellebuyck. This win marks Chicago's second victory in their last eight games.
Bedard broke the internet once again with this overtime winner. Fans flocked to social media to share their reactions to the 18-year-old's first career overtime goal on Wednesday night.

As long as he doesn't get injured, Bedard to win the Calder is free money.

One fan made an interesting comparison with former Blackhawks star Patrick Kane. The future Hall of Famer scored 21 goals during his rookie season. Bedard is extremely close to that total with half of the season left to go.
Patrick Kane his rookie year scored 21 goals in 82 games.
Connor Bedard is already at 15 and it’s December 27th.
Unreal.
