The Chicago Blackhawks picked up veteran Taylor Hall this summer with the hope that he'd help the team become more competitive. Chicago welcomed prized prospect Connor Bedard to town, selecting him first overall in the NHL Draft back in June. Making the team more competitive certainly helps Bedard as he transitions from junior to the big leagues.

So far, however, Hall hasn't had a significant impact. He missed a game earlier in the season with a shoulder injury, as well. Now, he is set to miss a few more games. Hall is week to week after re-aggravating the injury, the Blackhawks announced on Monday.

“He was trying to play through it, and instead of making him still try to do that, you could always have a risk of him hurting it worse or something else protecting it,” head coach Luke Richardson told reporters, via NHL.com. “He's going to take the next few games and then we'll go week to week to see how he's doing.”

Hall left Chicago's game with the Vegas Golden Knights in the second period on Saturday. He did return for the third period but sat out the final seven minutes of the contest. He originally injured his shoulder on October 11 against the Boston Bruins.

Hall has yet to score for the Blackhawks through five games. In fact, the former Hart Memorial Trophy winner has yet to take a shot from a high-danger area on the ice. according to NHL EDGE. But the 31-year-old has dished out two assists with his new team

The Blackhawks, like the rest of the NHL, are in action on Tuesday. They will face the Bruins for the first time since that October 11 matchup. Boston is one of three undefeated teams in the league, and the only undefeated team in the Eastern Conference.
