With the Portland Trail Blazers badly needed a spark to their season, Josh Hart answered the call, setting a career-high in points with 44. However, true to Hart's comedic nature, his impressive play might not even be the highlight of his epic night.

For context, Josh Hart achieved a stat-line that has never been seen in NBA history. The Blazers guard is the only player in NBA history to score more than 40 points and achieve these stats below on more than 70% shooting. It's insanity. (via Stats by STATS)

Hart was mulling over this tweet during the Blazers' post-game presser. After a while, Hart had a rather hilarious remark about this achievement of his. (via Sean Highkin)

“Man, they're pulling them shits out their ass. I hope nobody else does it so I can be the only guy who's ever done it. I'll put it on a card.”

To be fair, the Blazers guard does have a point. While stats like these are certainly remarkable, they can also be cherry-picked at times. Who can forget the legendary graphic that somehow put Thaddeus Young amongst NBA legends like Michael Jordan and LeBron James. Stats are a useful tool, but at the end of the day, they can be manipulated to anyone's wishes.

Still, though, for Josh Hart to achieve this goal is amazing, even without the stat in question. Scoring 44 points on over 70% shooting is mighty impressive. The Blazers guard's all-around production on both sides of the ball just makes it all the more impressive. He's helping the team stay afloat amid injuries to Anfernee Simons and Damian Lillard (both of which might be done for the season).
