Portland Trail Blazers forward Evan Turner had an unexpected visitor at his Portland home last Wednesday, when a truck literally crashed into his property. The said vehicle, which was carrying dirt, landed on Turner’s swimming pool after it hit and went through the metal fence that separates Turner’s home from the road.

Although the crash caused damages to both the truck and Evan’s home, authorities are still thankful that the accident didn’t cause any casualties. Turner also could not care less about the destruction it caused his home, knowing that the truck’s driver was rescued and removed safely from the accident site, per Allan Brettman of The Oregonian.

“I wasn't aware that the driver was injured or how badly,” Turner said Wednesday afternoon through a team spokesman. “But I'm obviously grateful that the first responders were able to rescue him and I hope and pray he'll be fine.”

Turner also took to Instagram to express his feelings about the accident.

The driver, who’s later identified as Pete Waltering, is now in the hospital recovering from a broken leg, a fractured nose, and a foot injury. It’s a much better outcome for Waltering, however, as he’s lucky to come out alive from the wreckage.
