The Toronto Blue Jays head out west for a four-game set in Los Angeles against the Angels and Vladimir Guerrero Jr wants to do right in the land of Kobe Bryant.
The slugger recently got two pairs of Jordan cleats customized with Kobe and Giannia's pictures. Take a look:

Those are absolutely sick. One has Kobe's picture and the numbers 24 and 8, while the other has a pic of Gianna with her number 2. What a tribute.
You have to love the Blue Jays star paying homage to the Lakers legend. There's no immediate connection between Vladdy and Kobe, but we know how influential the Black Mamba was and is to the younger generation of athletes.
Guerrero Jr will be playing in style this week, but it's not like he needs any help. The Dominican is well on his way to winning American League MVP, hitting .318 with 35 home runs and 87 RBI's. He only trails Shohei Ohtani for the major league HR lead. Funny enough, we'll probably see him face Ohtani in this series. It will be interesting to see if the Blue Jays star can square up a triple-digit fastball from the two-way phenom.
I'm sure Kobe will be looking down with a smile seeing Vladimir Guerrero Jr wearing such a decorated cleat.
