St. Louis Blues captain Ryan O’Reilly is a fan favorite across the state of Missouri, but just as beloved as the NHL star is, his mom is equally adored. Bonnie O’Reilly is one of the most selfless people out there, so much so that she donated a kidney to one of Reilly’s youth hockey coaches in what was a truly special moment. Well, Bonnie was in attendance for the Blues‘ playoff game on Sunday, and her son put on quite the performance for her, racking up 3 points in the 5-2 win.
O’Reilly capped his evening off with a late-game goal on the power play to put it out of reach for Minnesota, and his mother was absolutely loving it. Have a look at her heartwarming reaction to O’Reilly finding the back of the net late in Sunday’s game.

If that’s not an awesome Mother’s Day moment, we don’t know what is. O’Reilly had a phenomenal performance, leading the Blues to a key win against the Wild before the series shifts back to Minnesota. Despite getting roughed up a bit, not that it caused his mother much worry, O’Reilly managed to enjoy one of his best games of the season, all with his mom gleefully watching from the stands.
Bonnie was having a blast in the crowd, celebrating with Blues fans all around her and cheering on her son and his team as they earned the win in Game 4.

What an awesome moment between two of the most likable figures in all of hockey, the Blues captain and his mother, who is an inspiration to many. Talk about the perfect Mother’s Day.
