Future Hall of Famer Albert Pujols is done with the Los Angeles Angels, and now everybody is wondering if he'll end up with another team or if he'll wind up retiring. Naturally, a return to the St. Louis Cardinals is on the mind of many, including Washington Wizards star Bradley Beal.

The St. Louis native took to Twitter to plead for the Cardinals to bring Pujols back:

Albert Pujols was in the final season of his 10-year, $253 million deal when he was let go by Los Angeles on Thursday. The 41-year-old struggled throughout much of his time with the Angels after signing that mammoth deal in 2011, but that doesn't change the fact that he was one of most dominant players in MLB during his time in St. Louis.

The slugger spent the first 11 seasons of his career with the Cardinals, going to nine All-Star Games and winning three MVPs. He was one of the top MVP candidates in several other seasons and was a consistent force in the middle of the lineup. Pujols won the World Series with the franchise in 2006 and 2011.

Pujols returning to St. Louis would be nothing more than nostalgia at this point given his struggles at the dish, but it would be cool to see him retire with the team. Bradley Beal would certainly love to see it.

We'll just have to wait and see if the Cardinals are open to an Albert Pujols reunion. St. Louis is currently atop the NL Central with a record of 18-13.
