It has been a largely disappointing 2017 season for the Cleveland Browns remaining as the only winless team in the league heading into Week 14.
This has led to much change in the front office with general manager Sashi Brown being fired in his second year with the team. It didn't take long for his replacement, John Dorsey, to make his first move by parting ways with veteran wide receiver Kenny Britt, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Britt was in his first season with the Browns after inking a four-year, $32.5 million contract over this past offseason. He was coming off his most productive campaign with the Los Angeles Rams registering career highs with 68 catches and 1,002 receiving yards along with five touchdowns.
However, he was a shadow of that production only taking the field in nine games recording 18 receptions for 233 yards and two touchdowns. He registered no more than three catches in each contest while failing to garner more than 55 receiving yards in any instance.
His departure could open up a larger role in the passing game for Josh Gordon, who made his return to the field last week against the Los Angeles Chargers after a three-year absence where he recorded four catches for 85 yards. Meanwhile, Corey Coleman could also see more passes thrown his way in the final four games of the regular season.
