Cleveland Browns interim head coach Gregg Williams has reportedly been raising some eyebrows around the league since taking over for former head coach Hue Jackson.

Whatever kind of “text and voicemails” Williams has been receiving seem to indicate he may be in for a nice new job elsewhere next season after leading Cleveland to a 2-1 record over the last three games. Unfortunately, the Browns got the Kansas City Chiefs right after Jackson was fired and Williams had to do what he could to the best of his abilities. The Chiefs won that game 37-21, however, the Browns looked better in that game than expected despite the multi-score loss. The Chiefs were borderline unstoppable when they faced the Browns.

Williams has lead the Browns to a surprising victory over the Atlanta Falcons and after their bye week the Browns took down division rival Cincinnati Bengals in Week 12. The Browns have scored 52 total points in those two games and the defense has been racking up takeaways on the defensive side of the ball.

Since Williams has taken over Cleveland have two interceptions, five sacks, three fumble recoveries, and one blocked kick. The Browns have clearly been playing with a different kind of mindset lately and it's working. Cleveland can seemingly put their embarrassing days behind them and look forward to more winning days with their current young and extremely talented roster.

Perhaps Williams was onto something when he revealed during HBO's Hard Knocks that he came to Cleveland for a reason.
