Kareem Hunt expects to be part of the Cleveland Browns' plans in 2020, according to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.

Fowler notes that Hunt is a restricted free agent, meaning he can receive either a tender or a long-term deal.

Hunt joined the Browns last offseason with the understanding that he would miss some time due to the NFL punishing him for a domestic violence incident that occurred in February 2018.

He ended up getting suspended eight games, and in the eight contests he played with Cleveland last season, he rushed for 179 yards and a couple of touchdowns while catching 37 passes for 285 yards and a score while serving as the No. 2 running back behind Nick Chubb.

The 24-year-old got into trouble with the law again late last month after being pulled over for speeding and being caught with marijuana in his car.

However, based on Hunt's expectations, it doesn't look like his most recent incident will affect the Browns' decision to bring him back for another season.

Hunt, who played his collegiate football at Toledo, was originally selected by the Kansas City Chiefs in the third round (86th pick overall) of the 2017 NFL Draft.

He had a spectacular rookie campaign, racking up 1,327 yards and eight touchdowns on the ground while hauling in 53 receptions for 455 yards and three scores.

Then, the following year, Hunt had totaled 824 yards and seven touchdowns as a rusher through 11 games before being released by the Chiefs that November after a video of Hunt's domestic violence incident surfaced.

Cleveland went 6-10 in 2019.
