After sweeping through the first round of the FIBA World Cup, Team USA is ready to move on to the next phase of the tournament. But things will be tougher this time around, especially since they will be facing Giannis Antetokounmpo and Greece on Saturday. Brook Lopez said the 2018-19 NBA MVP and Milwaukee Bucks teammate will be going all out against the Americans this weekend:

Greece is one of the other favorites to win the gold in the FIBA World Cup, thanks in large part to The Greek Freak. He will definitely be motivated to take out Team USA as he hopes to lead his country to basketball supremacy.

As for Team USA, although they have won their first three games of this event, they are heading into the game against Greece with only 10 healthy players, as Jayson Tatum and Marcus Smart are expected to miss that game due to injuries.

If Team USA would like to succeed in the tournament, it will have to be more consistent on both ends of the floor. They opened the FIBA World Cup with a convincing win against the Czech Republic before barely beating Turkey in the second game. Then, they finished the opening round with a blowout victory against Japan.

In the next rounds, the Americans will be facing stiffer competition and cannot rely on talent alone. They will have to play better as a team and will need to do that as soon as possible.

The game against Greece should put them to the test.
