Playing against a former team is no longer a unique experience for Milwaukee Bucks guard Eric Bledsoe. But it must be at least a little weird for him to play in Phoenix on Wednesday, now wearing a different uniform.

It would be the first time Bledsoe will be facing the Phoenix Suns since general manager Ryan McDonough shipped him to Milwaukee in exchange for Greg Monroe and a pair of 2018 protected draft picks early this month.

While Bledsoe’s return to Talking Stick Resort Arena carries with it an emotional baggage, due to his bitter split with the Suns — Bledsoe insists that he’s going to treat the game like a normal regular season contest, per Nick Friedell of ESPN.

“It's just another game,” Bledsoe said after Monday's 99-88 loss to the Washington Wizards. “Another game we just got to win. We got to win this game, get above .500, build off that.”

Bledsoe, who has been traded before, by the L.A. Clippers to the Suns in 2013, played 224 games for Phoenix from 2013 to this year; though the Suns never clinched a playoff spot during his tenure in the desert. During those five seasons, Bledsoe averaged 18.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 6.0 assists per game.

As what Bledsoe would like to project, his focus is on helping the Bucks win an NBA title. It’s not an easy task, but Milwaukee just reached the first round of the playoffs last season and believes it could better that finish this time around with Bledsoe in town.
