Eric Bledsoe has been instrumental to the dominant season the Milwaukee Bucks are having. It’s hard for the NBA world to forget how he arrived in Milwaukee, though.

It was one of the funniest and most interesting storylines in recent league history, but Eric Bledsoe is trying to put his tweet that led to his eventual departure from the Phoenix Suns behind him.

According to Andrew Sharp of Sports Illustrated, when the subject of his “I Don’t Wanna Be Here” tweet was brought up last week, Bledsoe emphasized that he has already moved on from it.

“It’s in the past” Bledsoe said. “I can only control what I can control.”

When this evolved into a national storyline early into last season, Bledsoe’s defense was that it was in reference to a hair salon and not his situation with the Phoenix Suns, the team he spent a little over four seasons with. To this day, he carries that defense as the truth, regardless if people believe him or not.

Whether true or not, it got Bledsoe out of Phoenix and gave him a chance to play for a team with playoff, and now title, potential. So far this season, Bledsoe has averaged 15.3 points, 5.6 assists, 4.4 rebounds and 1.5 steals while shooting 48.6 percent from the field and 30.8 percent from deep. He is having a great year and has been a key part of the team in Milwaukee.

With his contract expiring after this season, Bledsoe could be in line for one last decent payday, and the 29-year-old isn’t wasting any opportunity to show his worth. As for now, he is focusing on helping the Bucks find success down the stretch of the season and, hopefully, staying away from any hair salons.
