Reaching the NBA Finals is no easy feat, even for the defending champions. Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks learned this the hard way after falling to the Boston Celtics 109-81 in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals on Sunday.

The Greek Freak put forth a valiant effort to propel the Bucks to victory, recording 25 points and 20 rebounds, but fell short to an overwhelming team performance from Boston. Giannis also struggled with his shooting in the second half, going just 4-of-16 from the field.

After the contest, the Bucks superstar gave some insight on the toll the NBA Playoffs and Game 7s can take:

“Legs heavy. Body heavy. Mind heavy. Everything was heavy,” Antetokounmpo said, via Jamal Collier of ESPN. “I was just trying to be aggressive. At the end of the day, it's Game 7 and I'm not going to hold the ball and not look at the rim. I'd rather miss a bunch of shots and keep playing and keep coming and keep being aggressive.”

The two-time MVP was certainly aggressive versus the Celtics. The Bucks became the first player in NBA history to record 200 points, 100 rebounds and 50 assists in a single playoff series. However, a historic performance like that doesn't account for the production lost with Khris Middleton's absence, or the emergence of Boston X-Factor Grant Williams on the other end. When push came to shove, Boston came out on top.

It's no question that Antetokounmpo is in the prime of his career, and there seems to be no signs of him slowing down any time soon. The question is, with the rise of the young Celtics and resurgence of the Miami Heat, how far can Giannis' dominance take the Bucks in the future?
