Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo has signed a deal with JBL Audio.

As reported by Darren Rovell of ESPN, Antetokounmpo is now officially part of the JBL Audio family. He will join fellow NBA stars Stephen Curry, Kristaps Porzingis, and Andre Drummond as endorsers of the brand.

Per Business Wire, Ralph Santana, Chief Marketing Officier of Harman, a subsidiary of Samsung and owner of JBL, said:

“JBL and the NBA intersect perfectly at the heart of music, sports, technology and culture. We’ve established a strong basketball heritage through our collaboration with amazing athletes and teams,” said Ralph Santana, Chief Marketing Officer of HARMAN. “Looking forward, it was important to us to continue growing our thriving ambassador program, and to get one step closer to fans and consumers by working directly with players and teams. These partnerships will enable us to provide fans with unique content and epic experiences at the intersection of music and sports.”

Apart from individual endorsers, JBL has also partnered with NBA teams such as the Golden State Warriors, New York Knicks, and Boston Celtics. In addition, JBL intends to announce new partnerships with the Chicago Bulls and Miami Heat which will start in the upcoming NBA season. JBL audio powers some 50 percent of professional basketball arenas nationally.

The series of business moves by JBL is seen as a response to the recently inked deal between the NBA and Beats, which made the audio company the official headphone, wireless speaker, and audio partner of the NBA, alongside the WNBA, G League, and USA Basketball.
