Milwaukee Bucks forward Jabari Parker’s recovery from his ACL injury looks like it’s right on track. Parker was seen working out and taking some jumpers prior to the Bucks’ game against the Washington Wizards and appears on schedule for a return in February.

Parker suffered the injury last February against the Miami Heat. It was the second torn ACL he's suffered on his left knee, with the first coming early in his rookie season. That second torn ACL was a major factor why Parker and the Bucks could not come to terms on a contract extension this season.

Parker had been in the midst of a breakout season prior to the injury. He was averaging 20.1 points and 6.2 rebounds per game while shooting 36 percent on 3-pointers.

While Parker’s return should provide some added depth to the Bucks’ frontcourt, it’s unlikely that he can become that big of a difference-maker so soon after returning from that serious injury. It’ll likely take him until next season before he can regain the sort of form which he showed last year.

In the meantime, though, the Bucks still have the likes of Khris Middleton, Malcolm Brogdon, and the newly-acquired Eric Bledsoe as very good running mates for superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo.
