Giannis Antetokounmpo has had an amazing career so far and it’s only getting starting. He’s only been in the league for nine seasons and has already become the all-time leading scorer in Milwaukee Bucks franchise history. Finally, someone has surpassed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and nobody deserves it more than Antetokounmpo.

According to Bleacher Report, Bucks fans showed their appreciation on Friday, giving Giannis Antetokounmpo a standing ovation for his efforts. It’s been a wild nine years for this organization, as they went from being the laughing stock of the league to one of the NBA’s most dominant franchises in short time.

It’s crazy that it took this long for someone to break Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s franchise record. Even so, Giannis Antetokounmpo became the all-time scoring leader for the Bucks rather quickly. Now, he has the opportunity to run up the score and set a record that may never be broken. Milwaukee fans are surely excited for the postseason, as this team aims to go back-to-back.

Unfortunatly, Antetokounmpo was ruled out for Friday’s game against the Los Angeles Clippers. Regardless, the Bucks are in line to make the playoffs, and Giannis Antetokounmpo should be back in time for the postseason. He attended the game though and looked emotional as the crowd gave him an awesome standing ovation.

With only several games remaining in the NBA season, the Bucks may choose to keep Giannis Antetokounmpo sidelined until the postseason. The Bucks have an uphill climb if they hope to win another championship, but with Antetokounmpo on the roster, they’ll have a fighting chance.
