After missing the entire season recovering from a second tear in his ACL, Jabari Parker is set to return for the Bucks on Friday against the New York Knicks. Obviously, after a troubled injury-riddled past, Parker will receive a minutes restriction.

In fact, according to ESPN, Parker will only play 15 minutes on Friday. While the talented forward will be itching to get back on the court, it's understandable why the Bucks want to be careful about his minutes moving forward. It might be plausible that these minutes restriction will last the entire regular season, regardless if Parker starts or comes off the bench.

In any case, Parker is undoubtedly a brilliant player. When he was healthy last season, Parker posted amazing stats, 20.1 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.3 threes and 1.0 steals in 33.9 minutes per game. Therefore, the Bucks' ultimate goal will be to keep Parker healthy and get him back on track to playing professional basketball. If he remains healthy, the Bucks will clearly benefit from Parker's well-rounded game, especially since Giannis Antetokounmpo is shouldering most of the load in Milwaukee.

Currently, the Bucks are ranked sixth in the Eastern Conference. They have a 27-22 record and are right now on the slippery slope of the Eastern Conference's postseason race. Losing a single game can shift the Bucks' entire positioning, so it's possible for the team to miss the playoffs entirely. However, now that Parker is back, the Bucks can finally get back to winning games and competing among the Eastern Conference's elite. At this point of the season, it might be their only chance. Hopefully, Parker remains healthy and helps the Bucks succeed down the road.
