The Chicago Bulls' inability to consistently win against teams with better records than them is becoming a huge problem. They are just 3-7 since the All-Star break and are now just the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference after previously sitting atop the conference.

Fortunately, the Bulls are getting healthy and should be able to compete at a higher level. Patrick Williams is the latest player that is slated to return from action after a lengthy absence. The team announced that they have assigned him to the G League to continue his rehab. According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the target return date is next week.

In five games this season, Williams averaged just 6.6 points and 2.2 rebounds in 25.0 minutes per game. He injured his left wrist in October and has been out ever since. The 20-year-old's defense and his scoring are still impactful for the Bulls, who could use all the help they can get right now. Placing him back in the starting lineup or letting him get work off the bench are both solid options for head coach Billy Donovan.

Chicago will be better once Williams returns but they are still missing Lonzo Ball's presence. His playmaking and perimeter defense were hugely important to the Bulls' success early in the season. He has been out since January with a knee injury.

The Bulls are still a strong team that has shown to be much better than expected in just their first season with their new key players. If they return to health in time for the playoffs, they could still make a deep run.
