The Chicago Bulls have now finalized their roster for this season, and have decided to keep Kay Felder, while waiving center Diamond Stone and forward Jarell Eddie instead. The team now has a full roster of 15 players, and has the maximum number of guaranteed contracts, per Shams Charania of The Vertical.

Felder was the 54th overall pick from last year's draft by the Atlanta Hawks, but was quickly dealt to the Cleveland Cavaliers. He appeared in 42 games for them, where he averaged 4.0 points, 1.0 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 9.2 minutes per game. He also had multiple assignments in the G League with the Canton Charge, as the team wanted him to gain more experience and have additional workouts as well.

Despite already having a stacked backcourt, Felder will serve as insurance for the Bulls, as Zach LaVine is still not back to 100 percent, following the ACL injury he suffered last year. With Kris Dunn also sidelined for the next two to four weeks due to a dislocated finger, the 5-foot-9 point guard may immediately see extended playing time, which will be his chance to prove his worth, and secure his spot with the team this season. If he can play solid basketball at the start of the campaign, it won't come as a surprise if he will spend the entire year with the Bulls, and become a fixture in Fred Hoiberg's rotation.
