The Chicago Bulls are struggling as they try to keep the No. 10 spot in the Eastern Conference, and now they've been hit with more bad luck. Bulls All-Star Zach LaVine is set to miss some time after entering into the NBA's health and safety protocols, per Adrian Wojnarowski.

With just 18 games left in the regular season and Chicago on a four-game losing streak, this couldn't have come at a worse time. The Bulls are now only one game ahead of the Toronto Raptors and Washington Wizards. With LaVine out for several games, this could jeopardize the season altogether.

LaVine has been a monster this season, as he's currently having the best year of his career. Averaging 27.5 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 5.1 assists, it's safe to say Chicago will miss him dearly while he's gone. The Bulls' playoff hopes are certainly looking bleak after an ugly loss to the Orlando Magic on Wednesday night.

The front office made an aggressive move before the trade deadline by trading for Nikola Vucevic. With Vucevic leading the way, it's possible the Bulls can remain competitive during LaVine's absence, though they'll need other guys to step up as well.

Chicago's next five games aren't the worst matchups either. The Bulls next face the Memphis Grizzlies, Cleveland Cavaliers, Boston Celtics, Cavs again and then the Charlotte Hornets.

We'll see how the Bulls do without LaVine in the lineup on Friday night, when Chicago takes on the Grizzlies. Both teams are fighting for playoff position, so it should be a heated contest.
