The New York Knicks have hit a lull in their efforts in attempting to move All-Star forward Carmelo Anthony this offseason.

However, the Portland Trail Blazers have now entered the picture as a possible landing spot for the 33-year-old. In light of that, Trail Blazers guard C.J. McCollum has made it clear what he thinks about the chatter surrounding his team.

The addition of Anthony would be an interesting fit given what he can bring to the table as one of the elite scorers in the league. He would be paired alongside their dynamic backcourt in McCollum and All-Star point guard Damian Lillard.

The Trail Blazers would immediately become one of the top teams in the Western Conference with an opportunity to compete against the Golden State Warriors, who swept them out of the first round of this year's playoffs.

What makes this even more intriguing is that Portland does possess plenty of promising talent that could be offered in any potential deal. This is something that both the Houston Rockets and Cleveland Cavaliers currently don't possess.

That said, all of this will hinge on Anthony's willingness to waive his no-trade clause. At this point, he has only agreed to do that for the Rockets and Cavaliers. If the Trail Blazers are serious about making a move for him, things could take an interesting turn.
