Adam Wainwright would prefer to still be out there on the field pitching this deep in the MLB postseason, but his St. Louis Cardinals only managed to get as far as the National League wild-card round, where they lost to the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Wainwright is still following the games, though. He even expressed his bewilderment over the managerial decisions made by both the Atlanta Braves and the Houston Astros in Game 3 of the 2021 World Series.

“2 teams battling for the World Series. Tied 1-1 in games. Game score is 1-0 in the 5th inning. A game where both starters were dealing. Both starters have been removed from the game. Bullpen games are looming with lots of questions on how innings will be filled. I don't get it.”

That's when a Cincinnati Reds fan decided to try to get under the skin of the Cardinals' three-time All-Star.

Unfortunately for mike b, Wainwright would not have any of it, and the 40-year-old Cardinals pitcher tossed him with a Twitter fastball he had no chance hitting.

“I am. Great series. Hard to win every year. I'm lucky to have been a part of 3 World Series teams (2 wins). You're a reds fan right? So you know what I'm saying… hard to win every year.”

Add that to the Cardinals righty's list of strikeouts.
