The Arizona Cardinals' interest in University of Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray has led many to believe that they could end up trading 2018 first-round draft pick Josh Rosen to clear room for him.

However, if the Cardinals do end up dealing Rosen, they may not end up getting the value for which they are hoping.

An anonymous NFL general manager told Peter King of NBC Sports that Rosen is probably only worth a third-round draft pick, which would certainly be a significant blow to Arizona and would almost make last year's first-rounder a waste.

King also asked former Cardinals signal-caller Kurt Warner about Rosen's value, and Warner agreed that Arizona probably can't expect to receive much more than a third-rounder in return.

Rosen, who played his collegiate football at UCLA, was chosen by the Cards with the 10th overall pick in last year's NFL Draft.

He then went on to have a very disappointing rookie campaign, starting 13 games and throwing for 2,278 yards, 11 touchdowns and 14 interceptions while completing just 55.2 percent of his passes and registering a passer rating of 66.7.

It doesn't help Rosen's case the Cardinals general manager Steve Keim does not seem 100 percent committed to him moving forward.

“It's still early in the process,” Keim said of potentially drafting Murray, according to Kevin Patra of NFL.com. “We haven't gone through our full evaluation at all the position, so really it's, again, too early to say.”

Keim then went on to say that Rosen was Arizona's quarterback “right now.”

The Cardinals won just three games this past season and own the No. 1 overall selection in the draft next month.
