Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray has made waves in his sophomore season, and he is not shy about his mentality on game days.

Murray said he always carries a supreme aura of confidence to the gridiron, suggesting that confidence is imperative as a leader of the team:

“I feel like I’m the best player on the field,” Kyler Murray said, via the Cardinals' team website. “I always have the ball in my hands. It’s my job to lead the offense down the field and put touchdowns up. I don’t limit myself to any amount of time needed or years or anything like that. I’m obviously a lot more comfortable in understanding the offense. Our guys are more comfortable. We’re playing a lot better.”

The former No. 1 overall pick has every reason to be confident after a sensational start to the 2020 season.

Kyler Murray is on pace to become the first quarterback with at least 4,000 passing yards and 1,000 rushing yards in the same season. He is currently completing over 68 percent of his passes for 2,130 yards and 16 touchdowns against just seven interceptions while rushing for 543 yards and eight scores.

The former Oklahoma star has not only been prolific, but explosive. He leads all rushers at 7.1 yards per carry, routinely using his escapability to avoid pressure and break off big runs.

Murray is coming off one of his best games of the year after completing 21-of-26 passes for 283 yards and three touchdowns while also rushing for 106 yards and a score in a loss to the Miami Dolphins.

The reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year will need to put more points on the board as the Cardinals prepare to take on the high-scoring Buffalo Bills on Sunday. Arizona is looking to move to 6-3 on the season with a win.
