Arizona Cardinals star quarterback Kyler Murray has been one of the best QBs in the NFL this season. He's been playing some tremendous football of late, and he has the number to back him up. So much so, that Murray's current rushing yards puts him on track to put up some historic numbers by the end of the campaign.

Michael David Smith of NBC Sports provides the details on the outstanding statistics Murray has amassed thus far:

Halfway through the 2020 season, Murray has 2,130 passing yards and 543 rushing yards. That puts him on pace to pass for 4,260 yards and run for 1,086 yards this season. That would be the first 4,000-yard passing, 1,000-yard rushing season in NFL history.

The report further illustrates how Kyler Murray is on track for an unprecedented season. Throughout the history of the NFL, no other quarterback has ever eclipsed the 4,000-yard mark in passing with at least 1,000 rushing yards. As a matter of fact, no one has ever come close. The current record for most yards in a single season (with at least 1,000 yards rushing) belongs to Lamar Jackson, who recorded 3,127 yards last year.

Needless to say, Murray has been exceptional for the 5-3 Cardinals. Murray and Co. are currently practicing, but will be back in action in Week 11 against the Buffalo Bills. It will be interesting to see how Murray comes out of the bye week, and if he'll be able to sustain this elite level of play the rest of the way.
