The Arizona Cardinals have usually been active in the weeks leading up to training camp, and general manager Steve Keim knows that has helped them have success in the past. The team has an open roster spot and $6.08 million in cap space so there is some thought they will go after one of the remaining free agents before training camp to help improve the team.

“We had a lot of success in the past when we have had late-summer signings,” GM Steve Keim says to the rest of the front office in the latest “Flight Plan” trailer. “There are players out there that we can find that will make this football team better.”

Last season heading into camp the team signed defensive end Arthur Moats and Jacquies Smith, and Tre Boston. In 2013 might have been their most successful year bringing in pass rusher John Abraham and tackle Eric Winston right before camp kicked off.

There are still a lot of free agents that haven't found NFL teams, yet that will probably be on a roster once the season starts. Eric Berry, Nick Perry, Tre Boston, Michael Crabtree, and Glover Quinn top a list of free agents that are still looking for a new home that could contribute on the Cardinals or any team for that matter.

The Cardinals haven't made any indications that they are on the verge of signing anyone but with the way they operate it's probably a pretty safe bet that they will be signing one or two guys to fill out the roster before training camp.
