Arizona Cardinals rookie quarterback Josh Rosen has shown a lot of promise this season. Since taking over the starting role back in Week 3, Rosen has lead the Cardinals to three victories and recently helped Arizona get a shocking victory over the Green Bay Packers.

Arizona's head coach Steve Wilks had some high praise for his young quarterback, according to Bob McManaman of Arizona Republic.

“I still think he’s improving,” Wilks said. “It’s hard to say in that game (Sunday), but I still think he’s progressing moving forward. When you look at some of the opportunities he had, we have to do a much better job of really going through our progressions and not trying to force a lot of throws. Sometimes, there are check downs underneath that we need to look at.”

In addition to Wilks' praise for Rosen, owner Steve Keim also shared a similar opinion of his 2018 first round pick. Keim stated:

“He is certainly the guy we’re going to ride with. He has shown everything to me, internally, that you would look for in a franchise quarterback.”

Keim added:

“That’s where I think he can grow the most because he has missed some wide open receivers from a vision standpoint. I think when you get to the inaccuracies, I don’t see a lot of it for a rookie quarterback. There are some throws that are off. Usually, they’re a little high, which to me I attribute to their footwork and guys can get lazy in their sets and the mechanics of it.”

It's clear that Rosen has his coaching staff and team owner in his corner and it would seem at this point he will be their future quarterback for years to come. Rosen can only hope that Arizona can get him some help on the offensive line to really elevate his play.
