The Arizona Cardinals are still undefeated in four games to start the season. Much of their early success can be attributed to, of course, star quarterback Kyler Murray.

In their latest win over the Los Angeles Rams last Sunday, Murray clinically broke down the opposing defense, leading the Cardinals to a convincing 37-20 victory. The Rams tried to do everything to stop Murray, including tasking linebacker Kenny Young to spy on the 24-year-old quarterback all game long.

Obviously, the game plan didn't work against the Cardinals. The Rams' decision was even described as “dumb” by NFL analyst and former Super Bowl champion Mark Schlereth (via Heavy).

“First off, spying Kyler Murray, like, that’s just dumb. I’ve never understood that. ‘Hey, stand flat-footed here, and then if he takes off, you go get him.’ Good luck. I hope that works for you guys. I have yet to see that technique work for anybody in the history of the National Football League. I don’t know why you think all of a sudden that’s going to work against Kyler Murray. That’s just stupid.”

Schlereth was a two-time Pro Bowl lineman and won two Super Bowl titles with the Denver Broncos in 1998 and 1999. So he definitely knows what he's talking about. The Cardinals would agree too, right?

Murray and the Cardinals will gun for win no. 5 on Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers.
