The Arizona Cardinals have been closely tied to former Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray, but the team used their first-round pick on a quarterback last season. So what are all of the rumors about then anyway?

Murray is a fantastic talent and head coach Kliff Kingsbury has shared his very high praise of Murray after his outstanding Heisman winning season. Murray showed off a tremendous skill set at Oklahoma and was very deserving of the award. There's no secret Murray could be a great talent in the NFL, but his path to the big leagues was a bit cloudy in recent weeks.

Murray is a such a talented athlete that the Oakland Athletics used their first-round pick on Murray in last season's draft. Unfortunately for the A's, Murray has decided to forego his baseball career and fully commit to the NFL. Now that Murray has committed to football, the question is where he will land in the 2019 draft.

The chance that Murray goes in the first round is very high, but the first overall is another story. The Cardinals could realistically draft Murray and trade last year's first-round pick Josh Rosen. The problem would be finding a suitor for Rosen, but despite the disappointing season, Rosen was solid. The Cardinals had arguably the worst offensive line in the league and lacked offensive weapons so Rosen fought an uphill battle all season.

If the Cardinals choose to trade Rosen and Murray first overall it could be exactly what Kingsbury is hoping to accomplish in Arizona. The Cardinals will likely have a completely new look offense so next year could be huge for Arizona if they choose to go after Murray.
